"Demystifying Studio Lighting

with Barbara Yonts

Ever wonder why some studio lighting has really dark shadows, or everything looks washed out? This program will help you understand basic studio lighting ad how to set up all your lights. learn how to use a 3-4 light set-up in your studio space and what each light does. We will also cover how to correctly adjust lights in reference to your subject and background. Learn how to correctly use each light modifier such as soft boxes and umbrellas. Don't get left out in the dark... learn how to use studio strobes correctly.

"Back to Basics in Business and Lighting"

"This is a PPA Education Merit Class"

The instructor will begin in the morning going over the basics of running a photography business. It can be a refresher for people who have been in the business for awhile, or a starting point for newer photographers. this class will also cover the PPA benchmarks and how to price for profit. Then, in the afternoon, you will start with basic studio lighting, touching on the different kinds of lighting and actual gear needed for studio lighting. You will then head outside for some off camera flash action and learning what is needed to over come the sun.
